I lost the previous two nights to a storm system that brought clouds and rain. The evening started out clear but it soon became
overcast, preventing any meteor activity until it cleared around 620 UT (1020 PST). Another patch of clouds obscured the sky between
0820 and 0930 UT. It finally cleared for good after 0930 UT (0130 PST). It must have been somewhat hazy as activity was lower than
expected. Shower activity was almost non-existent including no Alpha Centaurids being recorded.
The forecast appears very promising here for the first week of February.
